ZEISS has announced the new Supreme Zoom Radiance lenses; three high-end cine zooms designed to compliment the unique look and flare characteristics of their popular Supreme Prime Radiance line. The three lenses are T2.9 and come in 15-30mm, 28-80mm, and 70-20mm focal lengths.
They feature the same T* blue lens coating as the Supreme Prime Radiance lenses allowing cinematographers to create consistent and controlled flares over their entire focal length range whether working with a zoom or prime lenses. Defined by a smooth fall-off and a beautiful bokeh, Radiance lenses are designed to offer a warmer color rendition than standard coated lenses enhancing skin tones and other natural elements. The three Radiance Zooms feature modern high-end cine ergonomics and full lens data support which is extremely important in modern VFX and Virtual Production applications.
The Digital Cinema Society was pleased to get a preview of the 28-80mm at our DCS Cine Lens Day and they can be seen at the upcoming Camerimage cinematography festival in Poland. The ZEISS Supreme Zoom Radiance can be ordered now, available individually or as a complete set, with deliveries scheduled to begin in April 2025.
