In advance of the 2017 IBC convention in Amsterdam, the Vitec Group brands Sachtler® and Vinten® have jointly introduced flowtech™ a new camera tripod technology with quick release brakes and easily adjustable levers that enable camera operators to set up and begin using the tripod in a matter of seconds. The flowtech design offers a set of two-stage carbon-fiber tripod legs with an easy-to-remove midlevel spreader, rubber feet, and a payload capacity of 44 pounds.
The quick-release brakes located at the top of the tripod enable all the legs to be deployed simultaneously and adjust automatically to the ground’s surface, eliminating the need for operators to bend over or manually adjust multiple brakes on each leg. Lightweight and easy to transport, flowtech 75 is specifically designed to be carried comfortably on the camera operator’s shoulder, with magnetic locks ensuring that the tripod legs are stable during transport.
FlowTechBabyLegsThe new sticks can be set as low as 10 inches, (hi-hat range) and as high as 60 inches without the detachable spreader, and between 25 inches, (baby-legs range), to 62 inches with spreader. Durability has been tested extensively, to assure flowtech design features keep it functioning in the harshest environments including sand and extreme temperatures.
The flowtech 75 is compatible with all major 75-mm fluid heads and is being sold in packages with popular heads from the Sachtler or Vinten, or alone with an MSRP of $1,050
