Sundance2022CancelledThe Sundance Institute, a nonprofit arts organization that produces the Sundance Film Festival, has announced that all in-person activities that were to be held starting January 20th in Park City Utah have been cancelled.  Due to the rise of the Omicron variant with its unexpectedly high transmissibility rates, the Festival’s in-person Utah elements will be moving online this year.  The Festival will begin Thursday, January 20, 2022 as planned and run 11 days, but as was also the case in 2021, only with digital screenings and online conversations.
