Just returned from our annual jaunt to the desert for the always informative HPA Tech Retreat. If there was a theme this year, it would be HDR, which we plan to cover extensively for DCS in our next eNewsletter and in upcoming events. In the meantime, here are some headlines from the Tech Retreat wrapping up this week in Indian Wells, CA:
Leon Silverman announced he will be stepping down as President turning the reigns over to Seth Hallen. Hallen, SVP of Global Creative Services at Sony DADC New Media Solutions, has been an HPA Board Member since 2007. Silverman will continue to serve on the Board of Directors in the newly created role of Past President.
Also at the HPA Tech Retreat, the Hollywood Post Alliance formally and officially assumed its new moniker – the Hollywood Professional Association, along with a new graphic identity. The new name reflects the organization’s expanding role in content creation and media.
