SIGMA has announced two new full-frame “I Series” lenses, the 17mm F4 DG DN | Contemporary and the 50mm F2 DG DN | Contemporary as well as a new APS-C 23mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary lens. The 17mm F4 DG DN ($599 US MSRP) and the SIGMA 50mm F2 DG DN ($639 US MSRP) are “I Series” full-frame lenses featuring all-metal barrels. These two lenses are offered in Sony E-Mount and Leica L-Mount and both lenses will be available through authorized retailers in late April 2023. The SIGMA 17mm F4 DG DN is the widest “I series” lens to date, is super-compact, weighing just 225g (L-Mount), with a length of just 48.8mm, and is designed specifically for full-frame mirrorless systems. Both metal magnetic and snap-on lens caps are provided.
The SIGMA 23mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary ($549 US MSRP) lens is a wide-angle fast-aperture prime designed specifically for APS-C mirrorless systems. It offers a 35mm field of view equivalency with the 1.5X crop factor applied, and is the fourth fast-aperture in the Contemporary prime lens line, offered in Sony E-Mount, Leica L-Mount, and Fujifilm X Mount versions. The Sony E-mount and L-Mount versions will be available through authorized SIGMA retailers in late April 2023. The X Mount version will be available in summer 2023.
