The Digital Cinema Society will be hosting an evening with Panasonic’s newest addition to the Varicam family, the EVA-1, on February 7th at the home of Birns & Sawyer in North Hollywood. The EVA–1 is a a 5.7K handheld cinema camera with Dual Native ISOs of 800/2,500 recording to low cost SD cards with 14+ stops of dynamic range.
Representatives from Panasonic, (Steve Slade and Laurence Nunn), and Birns & Sawyer, (Bill Meurer and Connor Cummins), will make short presentations with James Mathers showing samples of the EVA-1 intercut with its big brother, the Varicam LT. Following, there will be plenty of time for hands-on with the cameras, refreshments will be served and a bluegrass band will provide the evening’s entertainment.
When: Wednesday, February 7th – 7-9:30PM, (doors open at 6:30PM for check-in with presentations starting at 7PM sharp)
