FUJIFILM is expanding the GFX ETERNA 55 ecosystem and has a couple of interesting announcements at IBC 2026 including a 4:3 electronic viewfinder and a remote camera control app. The VF-GFXC2 Electronic Viewfinder is engineered specifically for large-format open gate cinema and features a native 4:3 panel (2048 x 1536 resolution) with 1,000-nit peak brightness and 1.0x optical magnification. Housed in a rugged machined aluminium chassis, it provides critical focal evaluation without letterboxing or downscaling. It will be available to buy before the end of 2026.

The ETERNA ProRemote App for iOS & iPadOS is a dedicated control application offering full remote camera parameter adjustments, Touch AF, power zoom driving, and low-latency live feeds with professional exposure tools (Waveform, Vectorscope, Parade). It connects via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or Wired LAN across single- or multi-camera setups. It will be free to download before the end of September 2026.
