Netflix post technology alliance400Netflix has announced the launch of a program it is calling the “Post Technology Alliance” to certify post-production products and systems from manufacturers and vendors that meet the streaming service’s technical and content delivery specs.  The program will present a logo that companies can use to demonstrate that they adhere to certain tech specifications and can include the Netflix PTA logo on their web site and marketing materials. The program will also act as a conduit for Netflix to support creatives and technology partners on new feature sets and tools.  Filmmakers can be assured that certified companies and services have met Netflix technical and delivery specifications today, and will continue to do so in the future.  Participating companies will have early access to the Netflix technical roadmap and collaborate with Netflix on technical support, training, and updates.  DCS sponsors Adobe, ARRI, Avid, Blackmagic Design, Canon, Panasonic, and Sony are among companies already participating in the program.
