The Infinity Photo-Optical Company has introduced their new INFINITY BEAM OPTICAL CORRECTION (IBOC™) at the B&H BILD Expo opening in NYC. This innovation permits multiple applications from a single design aspect. By setting the frontal main body to exit an infinity beam, many interfaces can be introduced in a separation which is then brought to focus by a telescopical system (TS). By using TS systems of different focal lengths, formats can be precisely matched. And, in the separation, Mirror Diverters, Beamsplitters, Filter Holders, Special Effects Systems, Multi-Prism Orientation Devices and more can be introduced and interfaced.
Infinity’s first product to embody these characteristics is the MikroMak/SUPER™ which, when first visually focused, holds everything in focus from infinity to 32cm/12 inches, acting as 60mm/100mm focal lengths. Then, the unit seeks to be focus-pulled in converging light from that point to either 6.5x (Super-35/APS-C) TS or 12x (Full-Frame) TS, all while allowing interfaces, maintaining the same free working distances regardless of which TS is mated to almost any camera via adapters. Pricing and delivery date details are still pending, but this product which is made in the USA, will be coming soon.
