Lester Dunton, CEO of DUNTON CINE, and son of the legendary film rental pioneer Joe Dunton, has announced that the historic Mitchell Camera company is to start once again manufacturing film industry equipment. They have reportedly already purchased new CNC capable machines for this effort which will take place in the United States. They have also created a new website with many interesting documents and images from the Mitchell historical archive, which they plan to update regularly, and will also sell some Mitchell branded products directly in order to help get the company up and running. Initially they will be making mostly camera support items, but plan to move on to optics and hopefully a camera in the not too distant future.
