DCS is Proud to Welcome Director of Photography Dianne Farrington as a Member of Our Board of Directors

The Digital Cinema Society is very proud to welcome Director of Photography, Dianne Farrington to our Board of Directors.  Dianne is a first generation Cuban-Jamaican-Bahamian and a South Bronx/Fort Apache, New York City native.  Her career began as a Camera Operator at local TV stations in the Detroit area, and after many years spread between shooting documentaries and narrative she has established herself at a sought after DP.  Recent credits include Paradox, Sex And A Girl, Man Woman Blackbird, Diary of a Single Mom, and South Central among many others.

Besides DCS, Dianne is a longtime member of the Society of Camera Operators, and serves on the National Executive Board of the International Cinematographers’ Guild IATSE Local 600.  In addition to her cinematography career, Dianne began teaching at the University of Southern California as Cinematography faculty in 2016 and was recently invited to join the faculty as an Associate Professor of Cinematic Practice.

Dianne joins a very distinguished group of filmmakers and entertainment industry business leaders on the Digital Cinema Society Board of Directors.  They include Academy Award winning Editor, Richard Halsey, (Rocky,) Screenwriter/Director Dale Launer, (My Cousin Vinny, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Ruthless People,) Production Executive Reed Fenton, and Marty Shindler, Tech Industry Business Advisor and CEO of The Shindler Perspective.
