Join DCS as we explore the world of professional Aerial Cinematography on Saturday morning March 7th at the home of Pictorvision in Van Nuys. Special guests include renowned Aerial Director of Photography David Nowell, ASC, Kevin LaRosa, Jr., who heads up the UAV division of Team5, two-time Emmy winning Aerial Cinematographer Michael Kelem, Gianluca Bertone, Owner of high-end camera vendor Bertone Visuals, who himself is a Cinematographer as well as a licensed helicopter pilot, ICG Local 600 Business Rep, Michael Chambliss who is an authority on UAVs, Jon Landman of wireless solutions manufacturer, Teradek, and our host Tom Hallman of Pictorvision.
We will discuss safety implications and the legal status of UAVs for commercial use such as motion picture photography. We will also look at the technological advancements that are opening doors to new ways of capturing aerial sequences, as well as the latest developments in the more traditional manned Aerial Cinematography.
