30th Annual ASC Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography

Asc awards 30th logoEmmanuel “Chivo” Lubezki, ASC, AMC again visited the winner’s circle in the Feature Film category for his beautiful work on The Revenant.  DCS members were also well represented as winners and presenters, including Vanja Cernjul, ASC, HFS, who won the Television Episodic Series Award for 12 Monkeys, “Mentally Divergent.”  Our own Bill Bennett, ASC, was given the President’s Award, and we are also very proud to report that our member Grover Crisp was given the Bud Stone Award of Distinction by ASC President, Richard Crudo, who is also a member of DCS.  Meanwhile, DCS member Roberto Schaefer, ASC, AIC, was there to present the Spotlight Award to Adam Arkapaw for his work on Macbeth.

Other winners included John Toll, ASC who presented the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Lowell Peterson, ASC who was given the Career Achievement in Television Award.  Ridley Scott was given Board of Governors Award, and Pierre Gill, CSC won the TV Movie/Miniseries/Pilot Award for his work on the pilot for Casanova.
