Anton/Bauer has announced the launch of the VCLX LI 1600 adding to their VCLX product line of block battery systems. The new 1600Wh capacity batteries are designed to deliver more power from a lighter weight and IP65-rated weatherproof housing. While weighing in at just 25.5 lbs, the unit provides multi-voltage output (14.4V, 28V, and 48V) through two XLR4 outputs and one XLR3 to offer seamless power to cameras, monitors, and lighting equipment. For example, a high-current demand camera package like the ARRI ALEXA 35, which requires about 300 watts at 28V DC, (135 watts for the camera, plus another 165 watts for the monitor, wireless transmitter, wireless focus lens motors and receiver, focus assist, and lens light,) can be run on a single battery for up to 5.3 hours.

The VCLX LI 1600 is also designed to be extremely durable with an anodized aluminum chassis, over-molded end caps and handle grips along with a weatherproof IP65-rating. A 2.4″ color LCD screen offers real-time monitoring of remaining runtime, charge time, and active power draw. Built-in smart technology allows for real-time onboard diagnostics, ensuring maximum power efficiency and performance. The unit’s intelligent system calculates and displays power requirements from devices connected to the XLR3, XLR4, or USB ports.

The Anton/Bauer VCLX NM2 and VCLX LI come with fleet management built in, enabling you to download all the vital information via WiFi or USB. Anton/Bauer’s fleet management software can tell you the learned capacity of the battery, the number of cycles that it has run, the percentage charge of the unit, and if there are any errors these will be clearly highlighted and time stamped enabling quick triage and rectification.
