AJA has announced their plan to acquire the live video encoding and processing software provider Comprimato. A trusted AJA partner for years, Comprimato provides the software engine and UI of AJA’s BRIDGE LIVE family of products, including the newest BRIDGE LIVE IP. Combining the support, sales, and manufacturing, with even closer integration between R&D teams, will enable AJA to accelerate innovation across its streaming product line to unlock new workflows, new product development, and more.

As part of the agreement, AJA will acquire Comprimato’s comprehensive portfolio of software solutions. This includes Live Transcoder for video encoding and transcoding, Live Standards Conversion for flexible frame rate conversion, the Twenty-One Encoder SMPTE ST 2110 encoding appliance, and the JPEG 2000 Codec SDK. With the aim of making this transition as seamless as possible, AJA and Comprimato customers will continue to receive the same service, sales, channels, and customer support with both companies continuing to operate business as usual in the near term.
