Thank you for your interest in the nonprofit educational cooperative The Digital Cinema Society. Our mission is to help keep the Entertainment Industry current on new technologies without favoring any one brand, service, or format over another. Now in our 23rd year of operation we serve an international community with news and commentary on the latest in motion picture technology and techniques.

In addition to our famous coverage of NAB and Cine Gear Expo, we created the DCS Cinema Technology Spotlight Series, as well as a number of educational documentaries, including The Language of Camera Movement, Large Sensor Cinematography, Designing Coverage, Micro/Macro Cinematography, and many more.

We also host our regularly scheduled annual activities, such as the DCS Cinema Lighting Expo, our Focus On Post event, the DCS Camera Support and Accessories Expo, and our Cine Gear Lens Panel. Plus, we are always coming up with new events like our Cine Lens Day, Introduction to Field Audio Recording, and Indie Film Finance and Distribution.

In addition, we do our “DCS Road Tests,” where we evaluate and report in-depth on the latest gear, including new digital cinema cameras, lenses, and the most advanced LED lighting technology. We also present live lighting demos from renowned cinematographers, which we archive on our DCS Illuminates educational portal.
